ROYAL VENDOME
In this very Parisian café, GAU LIGHTING PARIS, under the artistic direction of ROUGE ROSE, reinterprets the venue’s traditional codes through brass, bronze and hand-blown opaline glass lighting, enhanced by an exceptionally warm glow.
In this Parisian café, the lighting draws on the familiar language of the setting: the gleam of brass, the depth of bronze and the soft glow of opaline glass globes. Nothing feels ostentatious. Each fixture sits so naturally within the décor that it might always have belonged here. Under the artistic direction of Nicolas Hannequin, the GAU LIGHTING PARIS manufacture created wall lights and pendants combining brass and bronze tubes and canopies with opaline glass mouth-blown in a workshop in France. The materials and forms honour the traditional vocabulary of the Parisian café while giving it a contemporary expression. The quality of light received equal attention. At the artistic director’s request, the manufacture selected 2,200 K light sources: an exceptionally warm glow that envelops the tables, softens the room and invites guests to linger.
