While functional features are obviously predominant in Eric Jourdan's works, they are also intricately woven with form. His innate command of drawing fuels a certain liberty to harness curvy lines, stretch and tense a lamp base or soften its details. His smooth lines can turn into sharp contours, cleared of unneeded features. Only then, poetic clarity arises.
Eric Jourdan is a regular contributor to various exclusive brands such as Ligne Roset, Cinna, En attendant les Barbares and Domeau & Peres. In 2020, he was appointed as Director of Ecole supérieure d'art et de design de Saint-Etienne, France.
