Designer
Bruno BORRIONE
Both an old school addict and libertarian spirit, Bruno Borrione likes to mess up with tradition. His taste for freedom and refusal to be pinned to one style only have led him to promote activism in a wide range of eclectic subjects, both professionally and personally. He praises rough counter-cultures with their lots of guitars, bikers and tattoos, and also relishes the delicacy of a show at La Fenice. Should anyone choose between McCartney and Dead Kennedys? Between Bach and Shostakovich? Borrione feeds his inspiration on all trends while having a knack for subversive characters and sideroads. The distance to be traveled is just as important as the goal to be achieved.
About
Upon completing his training at Ecole Boulle and graduating as a cabinetmaker, he met Philippe Starck and began what would become a 20 years partnership. In 1993, he started his own agency, enabling the development of a more personal approach. He sees himself like a 'director' rather than an interior designer: he is committed to making living space a nest where unique feelings and emotions can flourish, rather than staging stalled decors.
